Good landing page principles are good UX principles
July 8, 2010 in Landing PagesIf you haven't seen the new Think Vitamin Membership offering from Carsonified, and you're a web developer of any kind, it's worth checking out. Below I've embedded one of their free videos (most are behind a pay wall) that does a great job of explaining some of the principles behind a proper landing page. They don't use that exact language, but you'll see the familiar principles at play. Enjoy.
Gold advice, again, the more I dig into really pitching something online, as opposed to just having a site and doing some "stuff" you need to be blindingly obvious, articulate and specific. Say less, to say more. Good stuff. Do you think this applies if you don't have a "particular" product, but a blog with several offerings which is show casing more of your authority on a subject. Something closer to a lifestyle business than a product business.

Good stuff. I'm curious to know the name of the program he was using to move things around. What is it?

I found your site when I accidentally hit the "stumble" button on my Stumble Upon toolbar, and I'm glad I did. I believe this will help me with my real estate landing pages. In today's market, I need to do whatever I can to have a competitive edge. Thanks for the great info.
