Sorry about the website downtime…

January 22, 2009

So chalk this up to an additional benefit of Twitter. If you’re with me there, you may have followed the (boring) saga. Summary: My hosting company failed me, GoDaddy saved the day. (Now if only GoDaddy weren’t so cringe-inducingly lame with their marketing, logo, and website.)

So, who's the hosting company that let you down?

I'm giving them a chance to make it right before I publicly shame them. I must say that they are off to a dreadful start - I just started politely expressing my frustration to the tech support guy on the phone AND HE HUNG UP ON ME.

I should note, I've been with this host for almost 10 years and they've been very good or I'd be quicker on the shame trigger.

Hi Carson, I appreciate you holding back on the 'shame trigger' - shows you have patience and class - well handled.

I really like Godaddy's marketing endeavors as well as their logo, etc
